About FONLU
The Friends of North Lake Union (FONLU) strive to regenerate the historic ecological vitality of Lake Union and its surrounding habitats, while engendering social benefits to its current citizens. We collaborate with engaged citizens, government agencies, and property owners to improve shoreline habitats and provide public access to Lake Union.

Spring Street Clean along N. Northlake Way in Wallingford/Fremont
Come take part in a city-wide effort to improve our neighborhoods by removing trash, weeds, and other debris on Northlake Way along the waterfront in Wallingford and Fremont. Members of FONLU and the community will be working together to provide a much needed aesthetic uplift to Northlake Way and our waterfront. Meet at Waterway 22- at the intersection of Stone Way N. and N. Northlake Way- at 10 am on Super Bowl Sunday, April 10th. Prepare for the fresh new season with a spring cleaning and chance to meet community members.

FONLU is doing another Street Clean event on Sunday June 26th at 10 am. Come join us at Waterway 22. Come celebrate summer with a street clean event. Prepare for the fresh new season with a spring cleaning and chance to meet community members.

Water Way 22 Community Meetings
Community Meeting
You are invited to attend two public meetings at the Miir Flagship store in Fremont/Wallingford because FONLU needs your input on a proposal to improve a piece of land along Lake Union.
The piece of land -- Waterway 22 -- is located just south of the intersection of Stone Way and 34th (near the Burke Gilman Trail). We are hoping that this piece of shoreline can be restored to improve the environment and create a better space for the public. We need your input on what any potential improvements should look like. Refreshments will be provided!
FONLU Winter Celebration Clean along N. Northlake Way in Wallingford/Fremont
Winter Celebration Street Clean
FONLU is doing another Street Clean event on Sunday Jan. 8th at 10 am. Come join us at Waterway 22 and celebrate with a street clean event. Meet at Waterway 22- at the intersection of Stone Way N. and N. Northlake Way- from 10 am to 12 pm.
The clean will be followed by a party at Fremont Brewery with free pizza and a t-shirt giveaway! Everyone is invited so please invite friends and family to the celebration!

FONLU Stickers and T-Shirts are in!
Thank you for all the people that showed up in the rain for our Winter Celebration Clean! We were able to collect a lot of garbage from the recent holidays. We hope all of you who attended enjoyed the pizza and stickers we had made for FONLU. If other people would like to receive a FONLU please do not hesitate to contact us!
